Have been lazily thinking about a club membership. Dont have a ton of money to commit after 15 grand in dental costs and dont need the discounts or free tee shirts or the other garbage they like to include.

Just a flat fee per month so I can go more often. Right now because of reloading supply availability I wouldnt shoot more rounds per month but spread it over 4 visits.

So I found 2 that fit in my budget at the moment until I stop the bleeding but .. they come with a fairly stiff "Contract initiation fee"

Now they can do what they want .. its America and I can choose to play or not but I know some of you know the inner workings of some of these facilities. Why the initiation fee? Think it was something in the area of $100

If you can get in on a squad at C2 it's about $125 for the year. Then it's a buck a target after that.

I got in on a C2 squad last year for $125. But, because I shoot at Scottsdale Gun Club so often, I hardly ever go to C2.
If you want, I'll let you take over my C2 slot.

C2 Squad memberships are $149.20 for a year and have been for around 4 years or so. I've been running a squad there for around 7 years at this point.

You can't transfer a membership, but I guess you could take the card and pretend it was yours and no one but you would ever know as they don't ask for ID when you go in to shoot.

Boy, I guess I am doing a really poor job of expressing myself today.

Hey, ALEX. I am a member of a squad at C2. I do not plan on renewing my membership. That means there will be a vacancy in the squad. I don't want to transfer my membership to you, or have you use my card. I am just saying that I know of a squad that you can join, if you want.

OK?

Sorry. Guess I misinterpreted your post. My apologies.

With respect to openings on a squad, let me give a little info from the position of a C2 Squad Leader.

All memberships in the squad are for 12 months from the date of renewal for the Squad. Let's say arbitrarily that the memberships start on July 1. That means all memberships end on June 30.

Okay, let's say then that someone wants to join that squad January 1. The price is still $149.20 in spite of the fact that there's only 6 months remaining on the membership, so it might not be such a good deal depending on how many months are left in that squad's membership.

The other thing is that you don't have to have someone leave a squad to get an opening. The Membership Manager, Gena, is very generous about that and the 10 member limit per squad is pretty much ignored. Basically all squads have openings all the time.

If he really want to join, then the value is well worth the investment, especially if used as intended, life only last so long, GET SOME enjoyment whilst one can, cause as i see if, we just may loose some of these rights or pleasures in the sometime future, or at least before i end up getting roasted.

have been a squad member since Tempe C2 opened. It is a terrific deal for the money. $150.00 a year to shoot when you want. Now that the election is over, the range is not as crowded as it was before.

I'm running a squad. I think our renewal is around Jan. 20th (what a day that will be!). I'm sure the current ammo shortage will cause a few to drop out, so I'll post here when I start doing my headcount in a few weeks, if we have some openings.

Jesus, I wish I didn't live 46 miles from the closest C2
However..... the desert is somewhat out my back door....

I see they have rifle lanes. What's the max shooting distance at C2?

25 yards. At least that's what it is in Scottsdale, but I'm not sure if Tempe is any different.

Eh ok. So realistically more of a handgun range then. Has anyone shot at Copper Star's 100 yard indoor range?
