Primer fired marking cartridge, the plastic part acts like a piston to cycle the action.
Damn they hurt, about twice as bruise worthy as a paintball.
They make them in a variety of calibers including 5.56.

Yup, rumor is they have stopped manufacturing them to develop a newer technology…i.e. sell all new stuff to everyone because the new ones won’t work with the old.

No, these are marking cartridges used in force on force training. Basically they’re paintballs.

They hurt way worse than paintballs, especially the .223 ones.
Got hit in the neck doing F-on-F training with Will Petty.
I swear to Budda I thought the guy had accidentally loaded live 5.56 ammo for about 3 seconds.
