Phoenix planning to launch drones program for fire and police | 12news.com

I can see where drones would come in handy in certain situations.
As far as privacy goes, I'd be more concerned about the person down the street with a drone than the police.
I wonder how long it will be before weapon platforms are mounted on them.

Years and years ago there was a news story about some crazy russian who collected a bunch of microwave ovens, disassembled them, and constructed a dish to focus the microwave magnetrons - and "shot down" a russian weather satelite.

Maybe I need to buy some old microwaves. Using a firearm would alert others, but something electronic..... Lol.

Does anyone remember Sherrif Joe Arpaios April 1st joke about lighting up the city of Phoenix with lights all night so criminals would not come out at night. I think Al McCoy was in on it also.
I think there shouldn't be any problems with the fire department using them.

There’s a quote that goes “ anyone that is willing to trade liberty for safety deserves neither “… close….. this is exactly how it begins.

Been tracking and capturing some drone signals/WiFi in my AO…. Seems to be the local mobile meth labs running advance surveillance before they find a parking area… have followed/tracked MCSO vehicles….. could also be ‘overwatch’ for the deputies as a white ‘aviation unit’ marked pu has also been in the area…. Who knows.
