Weirdo in my yard

So I’m in my garage the other day fabricating, welding, grinding, you know, making a lot of noise. I get a call from a neighbor that some old guy is walking through my yard taking pics. All up in my yard by my house. By the time I hear the phone and get outside the guy is at the end of my dirt road turning left out of my hood. What was that about?!

Google Street view? I have had people at my business and that was what it was. But that may not be it at all. Especially if only your yard was photographed.

I don’t know man. I live on a county island and I’m like way back in it. But all us neighbors are like minded and look out for each other. I appreciated his heads up.

My sis used to have a job for the banks during the real estate bubble 12 years back, keeping tabs on properties the banks felt were at risk of being repossessed and added to their portfolios. They wanted to know before making any moves what the condition of a property was and how well the resident appeared to be taking care of it or not. She would get instructions via email every week of addresses to go out and photograph. She made pretty good money doing that.

Keeping tabs like from the street or was she peeking into windows and over fences or all up in the bushes? I don’t mind pictures from the street but stay out of my yard. A couple years ago all the delivery drivers would just pull right up to my front door just because it was dirt. Ran over my irrigation lines a couple times. I live in the county down a dirt road. Doesn’t mean drive right up to my front door! I’ve had to dump money into rocks and curbing to finally make them use the driveway.
