I'm with Steve except I couldn't care less and will add "undereducated" to his rant.

Smithers599, the vast majority of cool kids on the gun forums love to point out their disdain and apathy for sports and professional athletes. I guess I'm not cool because these are dudes that are doing what every other productive member of society does - using their talents to earn a living. And guys like me that appreciate athletic pursuits and talent (played in my youth but not good enough to earn scholarships or a living from it) like to occasionally sit in front of the tube and be entertained by these people. I believe it all stems down to jealousy. Because if these grouchy gun guys that like to call athletes "thugs" and "undereducated" (and making blanket statements that they'd be flipping burgers if they weren't pro athletes) could hit a 80mph curveball 400+ feet or throw a football between 2 defenders to a sprinting receiver 50 yards downfield while a couple of 300lb hulks were bearing down on them - and get paid multiple millions of dollars annually for it, while being adored by thousands - you'd better believe they'd do it too.

That said, the Raptors will make a valiant effort, but just don't have the firepower to topple the Warriors. No way they can sustain what they did in Game 1 with unlikely heroes like Siakam last night. What do you think?

Well said Jack Dupp.
For some reason I like watching basketball over any other
professional sport even though I hated playing it as a kid.
I also agree that the Warriors will prevail.

While playing High School and College tennis, I got to meet a lot of football and basketball players. A bigger group of egomanics and horses' patoots you'd have trouble finding. I wouldn't associate with these people for any amount of adulation or money.

While I'm not a professional athlete and never have been one, I did play First Singles in Tennis in High School and College.

City champion under 18 years old singles and doubles 3 years running
City champion 18 and over singles and doubles 1 year

State Champion singles one year
Region champion singles 3 years

What are your athletic accomplishments, Jack Dupp?

Jealousy? LOL I played and lettered in sports in High School but then I went on with my life.

As to thugs and uneducated look at the majority of pro-athletes and that is exactly what they are. And unlike in the past the majority are no longer interested in acting as positive role models.

Their insane salaries have turned what used to be a fun spur of the moment family day at the ball park into an expensive trip that requires lots of prior planning.

"Heros"???? That comment tells me how low your standards are. No ball player comes even remotely close to being a "hero" unless they are resuceing someone from a fire.

gotta float my stick with S in 29, no one will ever need the services of a professional athlete, jeaslousy has nada to do with other than the fact they get all the girls, yeah right,

and they are nothing like a "HERO" and as noted, your stds must be very low

Flash, as could be inferred by my post, I wasn't good enough to merit any accomplishments worth mentioning. But I am close to 50 and remain strong and athletic.

Steve, while you were supposedly lettering in high school, you should have worked harder in your English/Reading classes. Anyone that played sports knows that 'hero' has always been used to describe the player that came through in the clutch and was the main catalyst for his team winning. It doesn't always have to be used to describe someone that rescues other people or risks his/her own life for someone else. You and RJ are so narrow-minded. But I'm sure you could care less.

When I was playing sports (early 70's) I NEVER heard anyone on the team referred to as a "hero". Nor do I remember hearing it used to describe professional athletes.

It just shows how watered down the word has become in today's society.

But hey feel free to keep worshiping those "take a knee" scum all you want.

Without Durant, I have my concerns. Bucks were prognosticated to take it all and what happened to them?

Ever hear the Foreigner song "Juke Box Hero"? You really should look up the definitions of 'hero'. And learn to make inferences from what is written. I said that Siakam was an unlikely hero. An intelligent reader would understand that he isn't usually an outstanding player; but to the surprise of the viewer, stepped up his game and elevated his team to victory. Where did it say that I admired him or worshiped him? If anything, I gave him a backhanded compliment because I basically stated that I had no confidence in him or his team repeating that kind of performance over a 7 game series.

I only worship Jesus the Christ.

By generalizing that all these guys are "take a knee scum", you are basically showing your racist nature. You are totally generalizing and libeling undoubtedly some of whom may be totally patriotic. You are no better than the race hustlers that perpetuate racial tension. And this thread was created to discuss the NBA finals. If you care not about sports or those that play, why did you even bother posting here?

Good point. Is Durant not going to be able to come back?

On second thought, frab 'em.

I'm done watching.

Kerr isn't the only douche from the NBA that's talked out their ass on gun control. I've seen plenty of players in the NBA and all sports doing the same thing. Supporting professional sports and most of the entertainment industry now is supporting the enemy. If you haven't figured that out yet, you're not paying attention. Walk the walk people. Just look how all the fans just love the old liar in chief:

Warriors only came in a 350cc, I believe, but the Raptor came with a 660cc in the first gen (carburated) and a 700cc later that was fuel injected.

I have rode both, and I really liked the Raptor for a sport quad, but the Warrior was good too, just more of a utility, not sport.

Both are peppy and the 4-stroke engines on both are indestructible if you maintain them.

My Banshee would eat them both for lunch but is so high strung, that needing to do anything with low end torque is out of the question.
