I made a walk through video of my range (The Hideout) over the summer but didn't get around to finishing it up until last night. Thought some guys on here might be interested in checking it out:

Let me know if you guys have any questions, comments, or feedback on other cool stuff you think we could do out there.

I'm sure you can imagine why I'm not into sharing the location with people I don't know. We're careful to preserve what we have.

We usually bring new shooters into our fold by having current trusted shooters vouch for people they want to bring in.

Occasionally we invite new guys from outside our circle come out to the Hideout to shoot, but there's usually a step or two to vet them out first to make sure they'll be a good fit.

Completely understand your reasoning to keep the secret squirrel fort a secret,...but,...you included too many nearby mountains in the video. Since I am familiar with the area, I think I found on Google Earth exactly where that is. Others might as well.

Be careful in your future editing.

Good eye!

Considering It's private property, anyone who went there uninvited would be trespassing. I certainly hope no one on this board would stoop to that level.

Plus I'd imagine most people would have enough common sense to realize that if they were found there by myself or any of other guys (who are well armed and train) that it would not be looked upon fondly.

That being said it's a risk that we're aware of and we have taken measures to minimize it.

The spirit of the video was to share what we've done and encourage others to get out and try similar things. It would be sad if someone tried to take advantage of that.

Like I posted over on AKFiles....nice setup.

As has been mentioned a bit more discretion helps. To prevent things like when BCP posted the video on his new house and it took me all of 5 mins on google to pin point it.

I need to spend more time in these forums, that is a terrific set-up for fun and training. Coming from back East, no wonder why folks back there cry when they see and read about this kind of openness and freedom to shoot when they are stuck at their static range.

Ahhh land...

Ahhh land...

I'm originally from back East too and can relate to what you're saying!
