Vegas hotels/casinos now assuming law enforcement functions regarding weapons?

Before I posted this YouTube vid, I looked for a similar video James Reeves did over at THE FIREARMS BLOG about the harassment he got trying to comply with his pistol at the last Shot Show. It seems TFB has since taken it down. I'm guessing that they might have disputed what happened and perhaps legal action was threatened. I don't know. It's just gone, as if it never existed. But the upshot was that there seems to be a sudden and significant shift with Vegas hotels and casinos now regarding guests who possess weapons. No doubt there are law suits flying about since the wacko shot up the concert back in 2017. Is that what is causing this new trend?

Perhaps you could provide a summation here? Those 18 mins are a lot of time to invest, LOL.

If it's private-property, and they have policies posted (somewhere), they are likely within their rights, no matter how egregious the conduct. Our Constitutional protections apply to the Gov't and their agents, not private folks. (For example, how bail bond agents work).

The TFB TV basically was the hassle of the hotel policy regarding firearms and how pointless it was. James Reeves was in town for the Shot show - and was the only one in his group that had his carry gun in luggage.

The rest of his crew were carrying concealed. Basically they had zero issue - got to the rooms, no one was none the wiser.

I guess the hotel x-ray/checks/scans the luggage when it is ferried to the room somehow and detected his pistol in it's box or whatever.

They then confiscated it, and force him to undergo a check in / check out procedure that required multiple people, armed security, multiple trips to the vault, and upwards of an hour to retrieve his firearm. Whereas if he just had it on him - none of this would have happened. It was such a hassle of process he forewent carrying the entire trip, and because the retrieval was so inefficient, unorganized, and frankly B.S. he nearly missed his flight despite starting the process with an allotted half hour or so to do it (it took way longer.)

The moral of the story was - conceal carry because you can't trust idiots to make a process that is efficient and intelligent when it comes to the damn, dirty, evil guns.

He probably had to pull the video due to the pushback from the hotel - for illuminating the absolute clusterf*ck it was. Considering the amount of business the shot show attracts I am sure the venue / hotel was pretty p*ssed at looking like the dumbasses they were.

Her boyfriend was the bride's dad and while we were all standing for the group picture the old hag shoved her hand/arm down the back of my pants and grabbed a handful of my low-hanging fruit. Wife thought it was hilarious, bride was appalled. The resulting scene between the dad and the g/f ended up with cops being called.

That old woman was quite skillful in bypassing the belt, pants, and underwear all in one fell swoop to grab a handful of my sweaty gentleman's sausage and potatoes. She went from zero to past the taint in about .5 seconds.

Funny thing is they had been together for three years, and that ceased in dramatic fashion that night. Lol.

I know this is an old post, but the hotel didn't "catch" it. He offered it up thinking it wouldn't be an ordeal.

I can tell you, he was *heated* about how it all went down. He's not going to be making the same mistake.
