Value of M1 Garand?

M1 Garand
Greetings fellow AZS members. A friend of mine has asked me to help him sell a couple rifles but I have no idea about Garandss. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Marked:
Springfield Armory low 1-million serial
Stock is marked R.I.A.

He says it is from the CMP but he did not keep the paperwork.

bump for a beauty.
prices are all over the map, pending whether correct and some dates.
but can say, i have not seen a Garand for sale in a long time for under 1k.
I haven't checked CMP for quite some time, i believe their rack grade is around 7-800, if they have any, rumor was a while back they were or got a couple huges containers full of rifles and misc. and some ammo. Might go on their site and check it out.

I would agree with not seeing a grand in this condition go less then 1k. CMP is a good point of reference to judge current market
