LOL, you can build your Subway any which way you choose. However, your choice/s in sub-standard ingredients still results in a sub-par sammich.

Subway is the worst for sure!

Subway employees have no idea what "just a little bit of lettuce" means.

Maybe I need to start saying something like "I want 14 strands of lettuce, please".

if you are ever in tubac /rio rico..
try the italian peasant- also the clam chowder is made by the bowl right in front of you-
garlic knots and pizza- oh momma

Spinato's does make a good pizza. The red sauce is a little sweet, but it's nice. I always forget Spinato's, and there is one just a mile from my house.

All this pizza talk makes me want some...

Sadly they don't seem as good as they were 10-15 years ago. At least at the bell rd location at any rate.

Wasn't everything in our world better 10-15 years ago? lol

House pricing were affordable, gas was cheap-ish, groceries fed the whole family, our enemies feared us, there were only two genders, the Kardashians weren't billionaires, Toyota Tacoma highest trim level cost $35k, not $86k (yes, the 2024 Trail Hunter Edition is $86k), Movies were better, Music sucked but still better than today's music, and no engineered "supply chain" BS, ammo shortage anyone?

I know I'm missing stuff, but you get the point! :D

We just gad a Vero's pizza open up near me. I think it was formally Buddyz. The pizza was pretty good and I love the beef sandwich as it was very flavourful.

After trying over 10x different pizza places in past couple months, wife & I have decided on Costco’s as simplest and best value. Darn good tasting and better than 95% of what we can find. Only have negative things to say about operations that use to be at top!

Papa Kelsey’s off E. Main & Hwy-202 used to be awesome years ago. Amazing calzones and pizza. Recently went downhill when changing online ordering. Cheapified everything. Probably getting ready to retire…

Brooklyn NY pizza over by Alta Mesa was Jimmy’s previous operation. Used go there weekly, it was so good! Then Jimmy sold it to 2 jokers who destroyed it. Followed him over to his next operation… Pizza Roma

Pizza Roma on E. Main was great when Jimmy started it couple years ago. Recently sold to Erika who cheapified everything. Smaller portion sizes with more bland ingredients. She spends more time responding to every single review like it’s social media than focusing on high-quality foods.

Venezia’s is hit-n-miss depending upon location. One in Chandler’s was great. Tried one in Mesa, not so good. They tried hiring HUGE gang of teenagers, 10+, who were tripping over each other since there’s no room. My pizza had obviously been dropped with all toppings slid off into corner of box. Showed it to them and kid just shrugged and walked off. Went back to Chandler location and it had gone downhill with blandness. Pre-made/pre-cooked sausage instead of fresh, canned tomatoes, etc. No good…

Mellow Mushroom near Chandler is hit-n-miss for same location. Got one order with amazing sauce, and plenty of it too! Next time, complete flop!

Heard good things about Organ Stop… might try it… afraid though….

Just frustrated and given up hope. Costco’s darn good for price and no effort since I’m shopping there anyway. Can add extra toppings and pop into oven to warm up when I get home. Usually pick up hot-dog as treat for puppy too. Gonna make my own pizzas for a while! :)

Last week, I really wanted some deep-dish: pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. I was told Rosati's had deep-dish. Made an appt. with a friend to meet there for lunch last week, at the Greenfield location. Got there, and discovered they do take-out only. Damn. But the proprietor told us the Rosati's at Brown had table service. We got in our cars and drove there -- and discovered that the Rosati's on Brown is only open for dinner, not lunch. We went to the Basha's next door and each got a slice of their disgusting pepperoni.

:-(

stumpies at 13h st and northern,
anzios 28th ave and cactus, and then theres
barros,
good pie just keeps getting more expensive

Speaking of Barro's....
The Jackson's gas and wash chain is now offering Barro's in their stations. That's taking things up a notch.

I just tried Pizza to-the-rescue on 26th St and Indian School last night. They donate 25% of the price to a dog-rescue neighboring them. Absent the charitable tie-in, it was not bad at all. One-size only, about 14". Perfect for two-folks.
