They have a pallet full. All metal. All are in very good shape with looks like new rubber seals.
$18.95 ea. OR 3 for $45.
Mark's Bolts- Nuts- Surplus.

Oh yeah, M-Thurs 7 - 4 & Fri 7 - 2 closed weekends.

Costco has new 50 and 30 cal cans (sold as a bundle) for $14, limit 5. Seem to seal/latch well enough for my purposes.

I believe knockonit, on this board, has pallets of 50's, 40MM's and tall 50 cans for sale at reasonable prices.

Yep. I picked up 4 (8 cans). They're made in China, so...there's that. But, I had gotten some earlier and used them...they seem well built and sturdy. For $7 a can, brand new...hard to go wrong.

I remember not all that long ago when 50 cal cans were $5 and 30 cal were $3... then they went to $8/$5... now ??? what happened to make them so expensive?

I have a couple too and they are decent. I hate CHI-NAH as much as everyone else but these are sometimes easier to get then surplus cans

Anyone have dims on the can for me? Thinking of turning a single cane into a side bag for the bike when I don't have saddlebags in but still need to bring straps and some odds and ends

Just as an FYI, I have put .50 cans on 2 different KLR-650s as small pannier boxes. The first one used USGI and held up well. The second used Costco China boxes and they broke due to metal fatigue, I had to go back in and beef them up. So in some situations the real thing is preferable. Storing ammo, I don't think there is a difference.

#1 I wouldn't trust the chinese rubber seal... I would verify the sturdiness of their fabrication of hinges, handles and lock hardware.
I'll take US surplus any day.

the chinee, units are ok, if not subjected to heat, like storage in garage ect. the rubber doesn't make it, i know from some ugly experience with them, ruined some stuff for sure.
good luck with whatever you purchase, storage units are the bane to reloaders, what, how big ect.

used to be able to buy them at GI auction for anywhere 1.50 to 2.50 ea. on a pallet, bought a lot.

now the going price is north of 9 bucks, and with xport to given area, well, it takes the price up.

I last bought 600 at 7.50, but took me almost couple hundred in fuel to go get and bring back, so, tried to get a shipper, but believe me was cheaper for me to go get, besides turned it into a field trip.
can't hardly win a bid at auction anymore, some folks are just a little excitable and pay off the rails, nature of the beast. good luck with the costco units.

Quite honestly, my perception - again my perception - is that this is to notify other members of deals that we have found. Thus an informational. Not an ad nor a discussion just informational
