I just now got around to reading the full article. It is not just a review of the revolver (it's a .38 Special revolver, oh wow), but a fascinating history of how Japan became a Gun-Free Zone. It's not what I had always heard.

This part is BS, though:
< Qualification requires keeping fifty rounds within the black circle of a 25 meter pistol target at 25 meters (27 yards). To maintain qualification an officer is expected to shoot fifty rounds a year.>
Right. They only shoot 50 rounds a year, but all 50 of those go into the black at 15 meters -- from a snubby revolver.
I can't shoot that well, and I shoot a little more than 50 rounds a year!
