Let's do a little "thought experiment." Imagine that the homeowner had just shot the intruder, heard a noise, turned and saw a man with a gun, and shot and killed him. The man with a gun that he shot and killed turned out to be a police officer. Same result? Police chief says it was a tragic accident, but oh well, stuff happens?
 
neither were invited to the mans castle, a home owner should have a modicum of safety in their own home, the investigation will not be revealed and the truth will never be known by other than the shooter. jmo
