Somewhere I heard that the ammo panic shortage which happened about the time of the final season was what caused them to put the next season on pause,...and then interest from History Channel cooled.

That was a great show, as it showed that firearms is a challenging and fun thing. It is the kind of show we could really use nowadays.

I lost interest when they started the drama in the bunk house crap.

Also when they said the guy who took slightly less time to walk his 3rd shot into the target at 1000yds was the better shot over the guy that hit it with his first round.

Opinions vary. I liked the shooting off the stage coach. That was interesting. The zip line shooting was good to. I bet they developed their trigger speed and did not manufacture it

Hahah your funny... you talk about opinions varying but when someone has a different opinion than you.... you start shitting tomato soup and cheese

Go get him Lucky !!!! :D

I had enjoyed the first season but when they went to the format where they voted people off and just got catty ... well I couldn't stomach it anymore.

I thought it was more than interesting enough when it was about shooting competition and I dont think you were going to attract non gun people by adding the reality TV jazz.

If anything it made this gun person stop watching.

Yes that did sicken me
Why couldn't we just have some good shooting without the wives of new York drama.

That is the part I hated too!
I liked the shooting, and shoot offs to decide who walked. If I want to see somebody voted off the island I’ll watch Survivor.

I liked that when it started. And you need skills at fire making etc.

Now it’s just a social media experiment.

Now it’s more important as to who you suck up too then if you could “Survive”.

TopGun got that way. Or was getting there at best.

They did the same thing with one of my personal favorite survivor shows as well .."ALONE"
I thought it really showed the crushing reality of surviving in that bleak environment.

Then I think the last season they decided to do teams ... and .. introduced personal drama as the show driver. Bleech!

There wasn't enough drama in guys losing 50 lbs eating a mouse a week and the traps that worked and didn't! I thought it was quite dramatic without the slapping fights.

My favorite was when one of the "big guns" of training couldn't hit a bullseye at 100 yards or so with a .30-06 with a scope on it. All the other competitors did it with no problems, but he couldn't do it.

Kind of pointed out he wasn't really a gun guy, but somebody making a buck off gun guys by convincing them he was an expert.

I had a friend selected to compete on the show, but as soon as he found out that if he was booted off the show in the first episode, you will basically be locked in a hotel room for 6 weeks with no internet/phone privileges.

And yeah, watching a so called "firearms expert" not be able to hit a 100 yard target the size of a garbage can lid with an M1 Garand was a little crazy...made me wonder if the production crew messed with the iron sights of all the guns before the competition.
