Mike has been moving forward with American Contingency, and posted an update the other day.
It's a solid idea for an extended network of responders, and knowing Mike's background and mindset, I'm down for taking part and supporting it.
My one concern is the process of vetting... He's not looking to form a militia, which he lays out in more detail with his last update. But that doesn't mean there won't be folks with more extreme expectations signed up and taking part. I think he mentioned somewhere in the neighborhood of 30K people signed up already.
As a resource and another place to contribute, I'm on board and willing to see how it pans out. An expanded network has quite a few potential benefits, and it's reassuring to see similar mindsets out there.
