Yep, not only totally ineffective, its just bad manners. I refuse to buy from anyone demanding one.
So do I. I figure they want it so they can drop a dime on you if it's advantageous to them in the future.

Feelings mutual. No one likes whiny pricks that don’t have to buy something they don’t like the terms of but complain about it anyways. I understand the law. I sell most my stuff with a flash of a DL and a hand shake. Some items I ask for a bos and I always disclose it up front. If you don’t like it don’t buy it. But stop bitching about itBOS fags are the same ones running the HOA making everyone’s life miserable. They were also the kid that reminded the teacher she forgot to assign homework.
No one likes you.
Imagine coming into a thread that overwhelming is against you and you try to take on the king of the trolls.Feelings mutual. I didn’t attend 8 years of keyboard warrior school to be called “Mr.”HOAs are something we could agree on. Hence why I wouldnt have one.
I’m not pro selling restrictions. I’m pro cya for me given my line of work so sometimes I have to request a little reassurance. Some folks buying like reassurance the items not stolen. If it works that 2 folks like the terms then we make a deal. If not no worries.
I’m Not afraid of a keyboard warrior, but thank you for the lesson on who not to deal with.
Have a good evening Mr foreskin
Touché. Dr foreskin. LolI didn’t attend 8 years of keyboard warrior school to be called “Mr.”

(I’m actually stating to like you but not your BOS.)
Uh huhI am ambivalent to BOS. You all have great reasons and every gun guy I have dealt with has always been great. But 1 thing to consider is you meet and buy the gun then the guy turns around and calls the cops saying it was stolen. You really have no proof that you bought the gun.
I get it, some men don’t need to be told to keep their home nice and property presentable.HOA's can be a good thing or a bad thing. It totally depends on who's on the board and that is controlled by the residents who vote.
Got a good friend who's the President of a HOA and has been for years. I'd live in his HOA with no problems. Same for my current HOA. No problems whatsoever and cheap fees.
Don’t just stand there. Pick up some lumber and start swinging.lol, monday follies am enjoying the parte'
The real crime committed was buying a homo gay POS Cavarms AR in the first place. I still can't believe people here on AZS sucked up to the uzi triangle and the crooks involved.Speaking as someone who has actually been contacted by LEO regarding a firearm I owned 20+ years ago; your BOS is completely and utterly worthless and a waste of everyone's time.
In 2006-ish I purchased a Cavalry Arms AR-15...you might remember the OG polymer lower that had the A2 stock fully built into the lower receiver; that's what I had. I bought it from Cav Arms at one of the Crossroads gun shows. I ended up selling it to some random person at another Crossroads gun show about 1 year later. No paperwork, no BOS, nothing. He gave me cash, I gave him the rifle.
Fast forward 10 years. One day I get home from work to find a business card from a Phx PD detective with a note on the back, "call me when you get a moment". So I call him. Long story short, the Cav Arms rifle I bought was traced back to me through NICS, since I was the first person to complete a 4473 on the rifle. The detective told me the rifle was found at a crime scene, but not involved in the crime...he just needed to track the history of the rifle as part of the investigatin. I simply told him that I had sold it to a person at a gun show, end of story. "OK, thanks".
That's all that happened. No black helicopters, no dog shooting, nothing. No admonshment for not recording the buyers name and info. Just a "OK, thanks for your time".
I don't know what imaginative scenario the BOS people think they are preventing from happening. The only thing that truly happens is that the firearm you are trying to sell will sit and not sell, becuase no one here is going to buy it from you becuase of your BOS BS.
There was a time when I would ask for one for firearm purchases - but I've stopped asking in that space because I understand the counter argument / concern about government tracing of sales. When I still had a license to protect, I'd ask for their DL, then take a picture of it, propped against the gun or guns I was buying. FFL's need to show where it came from as well as where it went.
That said, a bill of sale or some record of the transaction can protect you from someone offering a (unknown to them!) hot item. And it may give you a chance to get your money back, if indeed it comes back stolen/lost.
Only had one in 20+ years, but it was bad enough....
