I got an S&W Airweight to carry hiking. I've also carried in town.

One thing I really like is to "unload and show clear" (for myself not technically) is I just pop open the cylinder and leave it there. I know you really shouldn't carry a certain model of pistol for when you put it away, but one less hassle of removing mag, locking open and reloading the 1 round into mag is nice.

I do think nowadays more firepower of a semi auto is welcome. But if it's between laziness vs carrying, then give the revolver another look.

Those airweights play hell on your hands in .357, I'll stay with the big gun for that round. Now, I haven't shot one with .38 so, there's that.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

The Airweights are fun with .38 for my old hands.
The +p is OK, but not fun.
I haven't done .357 in a long time and will never again.

I really like .357 airweight snubbies, because people buy them, shoot them once, then sell them to me for about half of what they paid. Then I shoot them with .38s. ;-)
