I hate that it’s come to this but I’d rather see very strict fire limitations than to see the state on fire again.

Step up the fines for these idiots.

See chains dragging $25,000 fine

Toss tour cig butt out the window $50,000 fine

And so on.

Because those fires take a toll on us, our land, our livestock, our wild game, everything.

Rant/

Took the dogs out for a hike near Thumb Butte this morning. It is really dry out there. Lots of dead pines that didn’t make it through the dry winter too. I’m just hoping it’s not as hot as last summer and we get a monsoon.

So Tonto recently dropped from stage 2 to stage 1 fire restrictions. Which reopens the forest lands for public use. Historically Stage 1 fire restrictions in Tonto have included a bad on shooting. The posted orders this time make no mention of shooting restrictions? Coconino usually does not include shooting restrictions in their stage 1 restrictions.

I went for a long motorbike ride today about 250 miles mostly off road in Tonto and I did not see any shooting restrictions sinage posted near the usual shooting spots. Just thought it was strange as I can't recall a past stage 1 in Tonto that did not include shooting restrictions.
