I'm not an attorney. But my understanding is you can make a gun for yourself without a serial number as long as you do so with intent for personal use and without intent to sell it for profit.

And since only you know what your intent was/is,...this is one of those things that is both a "yes" and "maybe".

I'd agree with SMG. It is legal in AZ from everything that I've read, but probably not something that you'd want to have to explain to someone from a group that didn't like you for whatever reason.
It might not help, but on regular Glocks, I'm a lot happer with the mag release when I take a small file and "debur" the pointy corner that wants to run into my finger. Just one or two really short passes is enough to slightly round that corner, but it makes all the difference.
