I haven't heard the reason. First thought I had was broke or sick, but then thought to myself he is probably just cleaning out one garage and that is not that many items for someone of that fortune and fame.

I'm pretty sure that is just a small portion of his collection.

I have seen Alice Coopers golf room and he probably has 100 bags full of clubs. I have pictures, but won't post them for privacy reasons. I have done a lot of work in his house.

I went looking for an old talk show I saw way back.
Had Chuck Heston and uncle Ted around 1975.
Ted was talking about a handgun bear hunt he was on.
Chuck seemed unsure this long hair guitar rock & roll guitar player was spinning a yarn or not, asked "What kind of pistol did you use?"
Ted said, Smith and Wesson model 29 44 magnum 8 and 3/8" barrel"
Chuck was quite amazed at his answer.
