Phoenix,
Not interested in your other brothers cousin from another mother, if you have one, or have shot one, thoughts on it, thinking itd' be a dandy grand kid gift for the holidays coming up quick, review are quite good, i have and have shot lotsa of taurus units, no issues on my part but have read in regards this, but actaully have not discussed failures other than some warranty crapola.

so share what you know for a fact.
and have a good evening

If you're talking about the new .22 pistol it is sweet. Got to shoot Derek's recently and its on my to-get list and I hate Taurus

I have a PT22 that I have owned for years, along with the similar model Beretta.

I never had any problems with the Taurus but had feeding issues with the Beretta. They tend to be finicky on ammo, but once you find a brand that runs, they are a ton of fun and really well made for the price.

You can borrow mine if you like, I know where you live...

Got a tx22 on order. Not in hand yet. But for $159 after rebate from grabagun not sure you can go wrong either way.

FACTS!! Just the FACTS!!! :D

I picked up a Taurus SS PT22Poly a few months, or so, back.

Got time a week or so later and began running 300 to 400 rounds over the next couple days, when it suddenly refused to reset the trigger and failed to feed.

I was very disappointed because I was hitting tennis balls at 25 yards rather consistently.

I thought about it for awhile, and wondered, maybe a little oil would help,... AND THEN I REALIZED  MY FAILURE!!!

During the time of acquiring it, and then trying it out, I had forgotten and not oiled it AT ALL!!!

I had run hundreds of rounds through it FACTORY DRY, DRY, DRY!!!

I took it to the bench, pulled the slide, molly greased the rails and trigger, popped it back together, walked over to my pistol range and put 300 rounds through it again without a single failure of any kind!

Since then I have put a few hundred more rounds through it, also, without a hic-up!!!

Can't blame a tool for operator error!!!

I researched this pistol extensively before buying. I don't normally buy Taurus, only bought one, prior, and didn't care for it, so I was very cautious about buying another one. This latest Taurus release had nothing but positive reviews and they are well deserved.

I now carry this pocket piece,... if that tells you anything,... hope this helps, good luck!

p.s.,... I guess I should mention that I only run Aquila SSS 60 grain subs through it,... very nice penetrating little pellets!!!

Did it shoot them straight. I've had trouble in many different weapons stabilizing those. Some do, some don't.

Yup, paper targets showed no tumbling.

The Marlin 60 that I won here in the AzShooter raffle, shoots clover leaf one hole patterns with the stuff at 30 yards and 1/2" groups out at 50 yards. At 30 yards or less, before I took the scope off :D , I think I could shoot flies with that Marlin and the Aquila 60 gr.

I tried three or four other makes, weights and velocities,... and the SSS 60 grainers were the ONLY ONES THAT SHOT WELL in the Marlin.

Go figure, I guess I was just lucky.

Just had a chance to try my TX22. Only had time for 90 rounds but it ran great. I like the feel of the frame and the trigger was very good for a stock pistol. I used Mini-Mags for break in but have the mags loaded with cheap bulk Federal for the next trip. For the price I do not think you could go wrong. Mine will come in at about $160 after the rebate.

mine were delivered to dealer today, hope to pick up tomorrow and take shooting on friday, we will see what we can see.
happy hump day

Picked up the little jewels, so gonna go out and spend the day burning powder in the taurus and afew long guns i am working on. getting to where i really like the pistol caliber carbines, easy on the old shoulder, and amazingly accurate if you can do your part.
sure like the feel of the little guy, time will tell

No sorry, i made a substantial cash donation this year, i had purchased a few for auction, but forgot to get them to them in time to post pictures ect, they will be available next year. older i get seems the less time i have to accomplish things

But a shining endorsement of this little gem, in fact i'm gonna order three more, this thing ran just about everything with out a hickup, comes with suppressor adapter, and will say it is a fricken tack driver, we shot well over 5oo rounds, with no cleaning no juice other than what came on it, and damm, can it shoot. i've never been able to get the walther or any other .22 pistola go that many rounds without hickups, of some sort. mags easily load, only mistake i made was to not order a dozen magazines, which will if available be on next order.
happy friday, awesome day at the range, just rolled in, showed up firsh light, battle the wind off and on, love our new steel target stands, wind no bother them. and of course the company made it all the more palatable.
