No it doesn't.
I shoot on BLM land all the time where there is a sign that say's you can shoot.
Then it say's to pick up your targets , shells and so forth.
They don't come and take it down when they have a fire or shooting restriction and they don't post another one saying you can't shoot.
It is up all year regardless of restrictions.

Who owns this public land you are taking about ?

I guess Tim Mc Bride is going to need to shut this thread down next. It's going south quick

Ok, I'm not taking sides on this arguing crap, but here's some links to BLM and you guys can make up your own minds.

There is nothing to argue about.
When BLM say's they are closing down for target shooting , it is closed for target shooting.
As far as tracer ammo , fireworks and such , that goes year round.

One last time
The state. Its posted as public property. Are you old enough to use a computer???? I gave the directions. Get on google and follow them for christ sake. That's all I'm going to give you short of taking you out there personally.

Ok, since this happens every year then you should know if there is a private club that we could use just for sighting in a rifle ? somewhere up by Prescott maybe.

Where does it say that on their website, I can't find it?

As far as the year round restrictions , it is on the link you posted.

As far as the target shooting shut down during fire season.
They do it very year at one time or another.
Not all areas close at the same time.
They usually close the northern part of Arizona first and the southern part later.
They don't have any set date.
If you call the BLM office they will let you know if an area is closed or not.

BLM website says:

I did find:

"Fire Restrictions:
None at this time.

Exploding targets and fireworks are always prohibited year-round on BLM-managed public lands in Arizona."

So I'm thinking BLM land is still open to shooting.

Just when I got all stocked up on ammo. Same thing happened when I stocked up on shotgun ammo.

Not unexpected though.

Anyone know if Ben Avery is going to reopen. Is Rio Salso the only one besides Casa Grande that are open.

Ok, casa Grande is closed and so is Ben Avery. Rio Salado is still open to the best of my knowledge.
