Target shooting closed starting tomorrow

Just heard on the radio that Coronado, Prescott, and tonto forests will be closed to target shooting tomorrow until the end of July unless we get a lot of rain this summer.

Every year like clockwork. Sometimes sooner, sometimes later.

That is my understanding, not in the target shooting area.

How about going to the tonto National forest Facebook page where they claim it was started by shooters? Or read the other public post from the person who saw the fire start by tannerite shooters?

Why does everything now have to be a conspiracy?

The fire ban, including shooting went into effect on 4/25 for tonto forest.

Not at all, its public knowledge. Here I did all the work to find it. Go to the Florence exit turn south. Once you go over the rail road tracks start you mile counter. It is exactly 5 miles from the tracks turn left. Go until you cross over cattle guards. There is a sign that says public land. Now it should also post if you can shoot or not. In the last 6 years during fire lock down I have never had it say no shooting. Now that I told you guys where it's at don't go out there and fu#k it up for everyone. It's a clean place, leave it the way you want to see it the next time you visit.

I don't know who owns the land you are talking about , but just because there are no signs that say no shooting doesn't necessarily means it is OK to shoot.
There are miles of Forest and BLM land that is shut down every year to shooting and they don't go around posting signs.
You are supposed to know the law before you go.

Let me be more clear sir. . There is a sign that says you can shoot. I have never seen the place shut down to shooters during fire season or any other season. Does that clarify things?
