Don’t patronize these places, encourage friends and family to do the same, end of story

Is there a good directory out there of pro and anti-gun businesses to patronize? I have the "Posted!" app on my phone, but it hasn't been the greatest resource so far. Maybe it will get better when more people report businesses.

It would be nice to have a detailed directory for businesses that are outwardly pro and anti 2A, and to have businesses listed that are quieter about their position, but donate to pro and anti 2A causes.

An FFL holder is under no legal obligation to transfer a firearm to anyone if they don't want to. Now, if the store policy was to only transfer to white people, but all black people are put on a 3-day hold, that is an entirely different scenario. If they institute a blanket 3-day hold policy to all customers, it is not discrimination...it's just a dumb policy.

With the whole mandatory mask thing, people have suddenly shifted and saying businesses can't infringe on their rights.

Certainly not looking to defend a place I don't visit especially when the torches are already lit but

The only possibly legit reason might be the rush. I got my ccw soon after moving here some 15 years ago but I do remember the nics taking about 10 minutes and there was no gun rush.

If your a business during what I understand is one of the biggest gun rushes America has ever seen and you have people 5 deep at the counter you want to take as much money as quickly as possible.

3 day wait gives one unlucky employee the job of just running nics checks and calling people for pickup while "sales people" keep taking in money and not spending 10 minutes a person doing checks which is administrative and doesn't add to the register. If a sales person serves 10 people a day and he does 10 checks at 15 minutes each you lost a salesman and the possible income for 2.5 hours out of a 8 hour work day.

Still sucks but it would make sense for a business looking to make a killing on new gun owners who probably don't have a ccw and need to be run

This could be what's going on. Back during the TP crisis on infinite sharts era (two months ago) people kept getting delayed because of NICS being over run by the amount of queries they were getting. I like going to pawnshops to find oulde lenses and this scenario was playing out at almost all of them. Made me glad I have a CCW.

Wonder if it's even legal/allowed. If I pay I expect it upon receipt of cash. Wonder what would happen if you call the police to say they've stolen your firearm since they have your cash and won't deliver.

Yes - interested to know when the transfer of payment happens. Last thing I want to do right now is be around a bunch of people, much less pay for something and have to go back and be around a bunch of more people.

If you ever shop at SuperPAWN,make sure you go the last day of the month. These managers gotta make end of month goals that day, and I've gotten great deals by getting the heads up from employees.

On Monday, I received some real crappy service at another pawn shop here in town, one of the chain-shops here. I fired-off a nice email, being sure to c.c. the store mgr., area mgr, regional mgr, oh...and the EVP of the parent company that owns them. Silly folks forgot that I was IN THE CHAIN of mail, each time they responded amongst each other....'twas quite entertaining. Much ado about HOW I got all of their emails, LOL.

To their credit, the regional manager asked me to call him. I left v/m, and was called back promptly. He assured me he understood, and agreed with my points. He sounded like he was a gun-guy, personally. If not, he at least grasped that firearms were significant part of their business. He assured me that some extra training would be provided on his next visit, LOL.

This makes a LOT of sense (or is it cents?)...
However, they could state it differently and indicate the background check process and the wait is by govt. policy - saying it could take up to 3 days to hear back, but that they would call asap for pickup... then they don't look like bad guys, the gov does... might wake a few up (would they then be 'woke folk') Also they would have to honor CWP holders immediate pay and pack- might convert some newbee bystanders about how things work...
