Stopped into McDowell and the 143 location today. To their credit, they have about 2-dozen new guns. The manager just drops it matter-of-factly: "We're imposing a 3-day waiting period on all purchases right now." SO, I play along with 'Oh, you mean like to help avert a suicide or something?' Her response was, "No, just because all of the craziness going on".

Nice to know that Nanny is lookin' out for the customers, eh?

Really a 3 day waiting period in Arizona. Thats bullshit Put the word out. Those stores should NOT have FFLs.

A self-imposed waiting period. Why, this is not California.

Haven't shop there yet and will avoid them from now on.

A pawnshop? Hardly too greedy. Cabelas? Possibly they got rid of bison, elk and boar sandwiches, ruined the bargain cave wont price sitka camoflauge where i can afford it, used rack is generally boring.. dont go in much anymore

Easy solution is to avoid them like the plague. Seriously wtf is a 3 day wait period going to do?? Prolong a bad guys intentions 3 Days?? Seriously what’s the logic?

No just being snarky however it's hard to convey over text. I suppose if I wanted a point I could say something like this. Perhaps we should employ the tactics of woke culture in order to create a situation that could be used for a lawsuit. We organize a group of people mostly white and a separate mostly non white. Go to different locations and try to purchase a gun some people would have to be background actors and slyly record the interactions. Repeat the process until one of them trips up on the "3 day wait". Then we sue for discrimination. We could even make sure we stack the deck with ccw holders so its more likely a sympathetic clerk would fall into the trap. Feel bad for the clerk we'd screw over but woke people never care about the collateral damage anyway.

Wonder if it's even legal/allowed. If I pay I expect it upon receipt of cash. Wonder what would happen if you call the police to say they've stolen your firearm since they have your cash and won't deliver.

I say, good.

Let those that want more self imposed restrictions rather than letting people exercise their rights do so enjoy their decisions.
Not only will this cost them in sales, the ramifications of their stupidity will far outlive their reasons for doing so.

Much like Dicks, WalMart, and others that have decided that their social justice platform matters more than actual sales and profits, let THEM eat cake.

They may survive, but by their own actions they cripple their profits.
There are other places to shop, and other businesses will welcome the money.

It all seems to sort it’s self out in the end, you really think shareholders in WalMart stock are happy with the lost revenue from the decision to quit selling popular caliber ammunition, especially now?

I should clarify since I'm just commenting for the meme's lately. It's a business they can do what they want. Vote against them with your dollars by not shopping there. Perhaps politely voice your opinion to them and move on.

An FFL holder is under no legal obligation to transfer a firearm to anyone if they don't want to. Now, if the store policy was to only transfer to white people, but all black people are put on a 3-day hold, that is an entirely different scenario. If they institute a blanket 3-day hold policy to all customers, it is not discrimination...it's just a dumb policy.
