As many of you are aware, KE Arms has come out with a new polymer AR15 lower receiver as part of the "WWSD" (What would stoner do) project started on Inrange on YouTube.

I like the idea, and considering buying one from Brownells, but one little thing bugs the hell out of me.

There are two round holes in the buttstock for attaching QD sling swivels. I'm not going to add a sling, and I want to cover up the holes.

Considered and rejected filling with Bondo. :o

Is there some kind of blank QD attachment that I can use to cover up those holes?

Your input, in all forms, whimsical to weird, are appreciated.

Brian

If it's just about not liking the sight of the holes, you could insert some kind of QD sling stud or something else.

If you want something a little more contoured, you could try a My Little Pony or unicorn sticker.

So, CavArms is back?

NO. New and improved. More better than.

Maybe, if it is truly monolithic.

If it is two pieces “sonic welded” together, I don’t know about that.

Well they beat the hell out of it, and ran it over with a truck, and shot the snot out of it in full auto, if that means anything.

But it doesn't take Glock mags.

It is welded, though.

I think.

Everything they did with the previous CA lowers, and their rep wasn’t the greatest.

Put your money where you choose, but it’s a crapshoot with poly AR lowers.

I got to know Sean from CA, and still have a couple of their lowers.

I have had good luck with mine. YMMV, but he was a stand up guy to deal with, atleast on my end.

I have no doubt of your experience.

What I can say is that every one of the rifles sold at Bear Arms based on a CA lower (while I worked there) came back in the doors as being either unreliable, or non-functional.

Ian at Forgotten Weapons did a video on the history of AR15 polymer lowers. Yes, he has a vested interest in the KP-15 lowers, but it looks like they did a good job.

But I could be wrong.

It’s your money, just spend it how you think best.

You will most likely find many posts across the internet of positive experiences with poly lowers. Some legit (like @cool arrow above), and some that are outright shills.

I just had the experience of dealing with customers that bought CA based AR pattern rifles that were seriously disappointed.
