Well .. my debit card arrives today!?

They Direct deposited the first one so I dont know why I am getting a debit card. Filed taxes at the same address for at least the last 5 years. Like most things government .. they cant get fuking anything right.

So .. since they sent me back some of my money I would like to pay off a bill ... gotta figure out how I do that with a debit card .. Sigh.

So you actually got yours? I still haven't gotten anything.

Yes it did. It was posted on usps informed delivery this morning but I wasn't going to believe it until it actually arrived but it did show up this afternoon. I thought I read 4-6 weeks from mailing on the 6th so yours may still be inbound

I recently moved and closed out my account that the IRS knows about. So the Feds will try and deposit it into a closed account. Hopefully, I will get it when I file my tax return. I’m hoping I get a refund this year so I should have some gun money sometime in march. :D

I just dont understand their thinking. To me its found money and my life wasn't going to change with or without it. I knock out a bill and it makes me happy but the bill was going to get paid anyway.

But the people who could have used this money the most ... they give a debit card?

So your the guy/girl or family that was hit hard. your a couple months behind in rent or some other type of life and death bill and you hand your landlord a debit card? I don't know how it works out here but rentals back east were usually from a private person who owned a 2 family home lived in one unit and rented out the other. You paid cash or check and they didn't have a swiper for cards!

So you have to activate the card .. on a computer you may not have and then transfer the money to a bank account .. you may not have ...to give Mr Leito his rent money.

One more fine example of the elitist being out of touch. Enjoy that ice cream Nancy.

Meh .. maybe times have changed and I admit to using my debit card for nearly everything but cash still has a place and some people dont have bank accounts.

Do we have to pay TAXES on the stimulis checks we recieved?

https://www.aarp.org/money/taxes/info-2020/are-stimulus-checks-taxed.html

Will I Owe the IRS Tax on My Stimulus Payment?

The short answer: No. In the somewhat longer words of the IRS: “No, the payment is not income and taxpayers will not owe tax on it. The payment will not reduce a taxpayer's refund or increase the amount they owe when they file their 2020 or 2021 tax return next year. A payment also will not affect income for purposes of determining eligibility for federal government assistance or benefit programs.

I got "stimulated " today so I went and bought another Sig P365 and another S&W M&P 2.0 optics ready compact 9mm. (I like having duplicates) That cost me 1150.00 so I will give the wifey the leftover 50 bucks! Thanks Trump.

More monopoly money we didn't ask for, coming from the Democraps. Just like last time, every cent is going to gun related stuff.

Ok all you "gonna buy gun stuff " 1400 more coming soon a nice 1911 would be a good use huh?

The bill provides for an estimated $225bn in one-time, direct payments of up to $1,400 for middle and lower-income Americans.

so some basic math says that if $225 billion is going to taxpayers (some of OUR OWN money back), that leaves $1 trillion, $665 billion to go to "other" sh!t...

so to put it in perspective:
$1,665,000,000,000.00 (other sh!t funded)
$...................45,637.00 (my annual income)

Unbelievable.

Then there is this to think about:

The American Rescue Plan Act is estimated to cost over $1.9 trillion through 2031, but the ultimate price tag could be twice as high if some of the policies in the bill are extended beyond their current expiration dates.

The bill includes several extensions of tax credits that supporters have previously proposed on a permanent basis and several temporary economic relief measures that are slated to end before the economy has fully recovered.

If the tax credits were made permanent and these relief measures were extended for the duration of the crisis, it would raise the total cost of the bill to $3.8 trillion through 2031, or $4.1 trillion with interest.

This nation will NEVER get out from under its debt. EVER.

Not in my lifetime, my kids lifetime, or my future grandchildrens lifetimes. We are so screwed.

Guess I need to hurry and file my taxes. Last years income will qualify for the full amount. 2019's numbers would get me nada..

Get half the trans rebuild in my truck taken care of.

I guess I'll have to starting thinking about how my Creepy Uncle Joe can stimulate me...Uncle Donny bought be a suppressor last go round...just got it out of jail yesterday!

The financial destruction was baked in the cake years ago. This will just speed up the end of the dollar sooner. If you haven't been putting everything you can into tangible sh!t by now, you're going to wish you had.
