The social media companies do a pretty good job of gathering info, cookies, NSA Snowden, and people who post things on the internet never have a problem until theyh do. Lots of Jan 6 spent lots of time in court looking at their posts on signal as exhibit a, b, c.....big brother always listens.

You're correct on 2 items I am and not overly concerned about "US" government watching, not correct that I don't enjoy.

Keyword data mining is absolutely a thing.

The gooberment absolutely does this. To what extent and its constitutionality is the question. The NSA sucks in massive amounts of data. That is not in question. What is used domestically legally is the question.

The rest of the story about third party involvement isnt too far fetched. It's a genie out of the bottle.
