Yep, the eldest is going along with my daughter in law, his wife. She's never fired a gun before so this will be a first. I want her to know the basics so I can give them a pistola for their house.

I'm not sure. I just remember being at a couple shoots there and in that vicinity about a decade ago and it was a great spot. The last getsum shoot/bbq spot I remember was a good one as well.

Yeah, that's all BLM. It sounds like the best bet might be Tonto National Forest at this point.

I do have a very nice shooting spot up off of Seven Springs Road that would be amazing if we didn't have to worry about dragging a trailer or cars in there.

That's the problem, have to allow for folks without high clearance vehicles.
