Ok,...rant time.
My dad, in the early 90s, took a job as an eligibility interviewer for Arizona's Maricopa County office responsible for disbursing food stamps. (Why the feds delineated to the states to do the federal work, I don't know. But that's how it is done.) Dad got the job, despite being white and male, because as an ex-cop, he spoke Spanish and was skilled at interviewing subjects/suspects. He was the only white dude in the entire state division. As he understood it, his job was to determine if applicants were eligible. So,...when he found some produce picker from the fields presented him a fake social security card or fake drivers license and thus could not prove citizenship (an eligibility qualifier), he would reject their application. His supervisor of the office, a Latina of course, challenged him that he wasn't qualified to determine if IDs such as those were genuine or not (he had been out of law enforcement for 15 years) and that he should accept them unless there was proof. Taking his duties seriously, he contacted a friend still active service on PhxPD and asked for a current academy manual for officers that instructs on the skill of determining fake IDs. He had it sitting prominently on his desk. When he would continue to make determinations of fake IDs and reject applications and was questioned why he did so despite the supervisor's instruction,...he would open the manual and patiently explain in detail exactly how the IDs were proven fraudulent. Within a week, he came in to work and the manual was gone from his desk, never to return. He contacted his buddy on the force and received another. THIS one, he used cable and bolted it to his steel desk. 2 days later, THAT one was gone. And immediately he started getting all sorts of made up bullschit demerits and "coachings" over phantom violations of non-existent policies,...all of which designed to set the stage for an excuse to fire him, which they eventually did. (The entire staff were mostly female hispanic liberal Democrats who were not trying exclude anyone, but rather, saw their mission as to qualify as many as possible.) But while there, and being a former policeman with investigative and interrogation experience, he uncovered that the fake social security cards he kept seeing (which were rather good quality counterfeits) were being given away to the illegal agricultural workers by the Democrat machinery operatives. They would cruise through the fields and hand them out like candy, explaining that with these they could gain access to all the free schit Uncle Sam had to offer. The only catch was to register to vote then and there and remember who your friends were in the DNC and always vote Democrat. At least two of these guys admitted everything to Dad.
So I thought, once we start looking into how many people on the dole don't actually have valid SS numbers,...holy schit, that ought to be a big tadoo!! It seemed a simple task for DOGE;...just cross-reference the SS#s used for getting gov't assistance with the IRS and SocSec databases, and bingo bango, there's your fraudsters, complete with current addresses at which to go scoop them up. But as Musk has illuminated for us after getting access to Treasury payment data,...that database has been,...as if by design,...left unsearchable in any manner that would allow for sifting out the fraudulent SS#s. And so, this leaves us with really only one option to reveal which are fake and which are real.
I have serious qualms with being issued a SS# in the first place, since we Americans are not supposed to be identified by serial numbers, but actual names. HOWEVER,...if we intend to keep the SS# scheme at all, then we need to RE-REGISTER and RE-VERIFY all current citizens with these documents. In the pursuit of killing off the wide and varied frauds being perpetrated, start with requiring anyone currently receiving a check to submit to re-verification of their vital stats and current status. This includes me, and would be an annoyance,...but one I am quite willing to subject myself to in my patriotic duty to cease the rampant schit show of hemorrhaging the stolen tax funds to even more criminals. Obviously, this endeavor would easily take up all 4 years of the Trump administration to complete, or even longer. But since we have so many non-essential employees DOGE has identified to cut loose, we could divert some (or a lot) of those to the new office of Social Security Fraud Exposure (or similar title). Part of this could also involve issuing newer and more difficult to counterfeit cards. The danger, of course, would be for the evil types in gov't to use this to require an entirely new national biometric enhanced ID thing, creating the Germanesque internal passport wet dream. But some sort of re-verification program (it seems to me) is the only way to truly deactivate and invalidate all the counterfeit SS cards in circulation, and would go a loooooong way to reducing the imported Free Schit Army.
