The whole electric car "thing" was tried in the early 1900s, but battery technology wasn't far enough developed. 120 years later, battery technology is still waning.

Maybe the older Volt models could cost that much I dunno. My boss an engineer converted his dads old porche to electric with existing battery packs, think it was 11K few years ago maybe 15. Wonder what a new volt costs, thats real pricey. Seems legit fact checkers got after the dealer and seemingly if you want a battery pack discontinued you are going to pay ftons of $$$.
