I looked for the group...I no longer wish to attend. Some Mexican off road club...Piratas Off Road. But, I bet they had good food and plenty of beer.

Trust me, you don't want any part of what is out there. My girlfriend and I went out there 20 years ago for "The Christmas tree burn" that they have every year.

It is a huge bonfire with everyone's tree's and tons of pallets. It we parked her Durango and the next time I looked back, the Durango was surronded by hundreds of parked cars and trucks.

At midnight, it was like someone flipped a switch and there were fights breaking out all over the place. Next thing you know, MCSO helicopter was flying around in circles and there were tons of deputies all around. We were finally able to leave when all the vehicles in front of us had moved.

My buddy was trying to help our other buddy and he got hit in the ear by someone swinging a beer bottle. He lost his Ruger P89 9mm during the scuffle and it was never seen again.

It is not safe out there by any means.

Oddly, and surprising, they did.

There was a link in this article that showed them clean up the next morning and the amount of trash removed. The link now goes to the group's FB account that has become private since.

Shouldn't have hit the ground in the first place, but they did clean it up.
