So... Can't make this schite up. Sig obviously did NOT procure enough hookers & blow for the Consumer Product Safety Commissioners. What part of "IT'S ON A FIREARM" did the CPSC fail to comprehend??????????? My 1st concern is that my toddler grandchild will break into my safe, grab an SBR & get it out, then unscrew the Sig Sauer Romeo5 battery access &... EAT THE BATTERY :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

How is that any different from a Trijicon MRO, Aimpoint T1/T2, or any other red dot or optic/scope with a battery cap that unscrews?

Or, is the problem that the new battery doesn’t come in a childproof package when you buy a new optic?

Well, that stupid tiny ziplock bag the battery comes in as new is definitely adult-proof. & yeah, just about every CR2032 RD ever made has knurled battery access...

I don't see this as idiocracy (I mean it could be... but...). I see this as lawfare - the use of the government to attack businesses in industries that they don't like (the gun industry)...

The description of the recall issue is not very specific and worded to induce confusion...I'm going to assume it is due to the new battery being in a zip lock bag instead of a plastic sealed package, like new batteries usually come in these days. No one is going to bother with this recall...why would anyone want those dumb warning labels on their battery cap?
