Just a simple quickie. Can someone tell me definitively, if an Az. citizen can legally ship a rifle, within the state of Arizona, to another Az. citizen?

thanks.

Yes, you can.

I have shipped a rifle by the Post Office but got better pricing shipping a long gun through FedEx. If you are adding alot of insurance I would compare rates before choosing a carrier.

IIRC you can also mail a firearm to yourself at an out of state address as long as you are going to be there to open it. Not 100% sure on that though...

Hmmm ? Not New York City at least ! :D

yes you can mail to yourself, i have been doing so for years when i travel. I have a trip to go back to georgia again in a few months, so am going to attempt to take one along, gonna have to bone up on the requirements again.
Meaning for air fare transport.

I fly southwest frequently, go up to check in counter, ask for a firearms declaration tag, fill it out, let them weigh the bag, they ask TSA to come over, you walk with TSA to scanner, they check it for explosives and relock your bag and hand you the keys. Ive never had a lost piece of luggage either ;)

I sent six pistols with my daughter to Minnesota on Southwest. TSA didn't blink an eye. All were in locked boxes (keyed alike TSA approved padlocks) in a locked suitcase. I don't remember filling out a declaration form though. I just told the clerk.

anytime go to USPS or UPS, but esp. USPS and mention anything gun related, they act like I am shipping depleted uranium and I have to talk them into accepting it.

Depleted uranium, HAHAHA
I just answer NO to the single USPS question about "any leaking, lithium batteries, hazardous, perfumes, blah blah blah?" and all is well. Less is more with them, and many others for that matter.

Why are you telling them what's in the box? I have never done so nor been asked beyond if there was anything dangerous, flammable, etc.

Though if pressed I guess I might say something like, "machine parts".
