I can no longer see the sub-forum for Services Offered/Needed, so I'm asking this here.
I do a ton of 3D printing, and have maintained all of my machines for the past six years. Having said that, I'm not very technically talented, and have come up against a pair of problems I've not been able to troubleshoot on my own. I've watched all of the videos. asked around on forums, received and tried several bits of friendly advice, etc. I know what I'm doing 98% of the time which is why this is bugging me so much. I know the issues are simple to resolve.
I live at 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Rd. I am looking for someone local (not east Gilbert), who can repair a JG Aurora A5S. I own two of them and love them, so I'd rather fix this one than replace it. (They are only $300, so if repairs get too pricey, it's not going to be worth it to fix.) Still, repairs and usually cheaper and easier than the alternative.
First issue: After about 1,000 awesome hours, it is finally experiencing layer shifting. Without being bumped, etc., it will shift the layer position by a quarter inch or so and continue as if nothing has changed.
Second issue: Filament leaking at the hot end. I have installed a brand new hot end, and rather than extruding through the hole in the nozzle, filament is gathering and oozing at the top of the brass nozzle. (This is after my third attempt to fix this particular issue and failing.)
The hot end in the machine is brand new, and if it can be cleaned, it's serviceable. If not, I have another packaged new hot end that can be used.
I am not looking for repair advice. I'm on several forums and I do have a lot of hands-on experience with the machines. If I could fix it, I would have already. I'm looking for someone to have me drop it off and then pick it up running smoothly later.
There are a lot of skilled folks on this board, so i thought I'd ask. I haven't found any local companies or groups who offer this service.
Thanks for your time.
