Nice.

Do you know Mitch? I'm sure he posted that as a joke.

I was there today at the AZCDL Booth. We signed up about 6 people while I was there. I will never understand why gun owners talk pro 2a but won't put money where thei mouth is. Only $20 when you join at a gun show.
Line for MiWall took about an hour. The reloading side wait was about 15 minutes at 2 pm. Some powders were out. Pistol primers were almost $10 for 100. Only 100 allowed at one sale. But if you went different times during the day I am sure you could have gotten more.

I was there to meet somebody, not shop. But,...since as long as I was there,...I decided to look for "the lesser things" that normally aren't the main focus of my visits or the current buying panic. Didn't bother looking for any ammo or primers or the typically desired guns. I tried to not notice any of that at all. Instead, I looked through all the bargain bins and parts sets, used optics, used belts and holsters, targets and target stands,...that sort of thing.

To my surprise, I actually found a desirable gun at a fair pre-panic price. A friend in Prescott who has decided late in life to become a hunter has asked me to help find an affordable deer rifle. I told him this was the worst time in years to try to find anything affordable, but promised I'd keep my eyes open. I saw soooo many plain hunting rifles at ridiculous prices, I almost stopped looking. And then there, on a table that said Private Sales, was nice condition Savage M110 in .243 with a scope for just $275. I went ahead and snatched it up. Called up my buddy in Prescott and informed him I acquired his rifle for him (under budget, no less) and that I'd come see him Wednesday to drop it off.

So it turned out better than I expected.

In $8 parking I noticed a lot of cali, wa, Il and a couple Quebec plates. Quebec? What?

I scored a couple of small items of need for decent prices, but gun prices was stupid high. I told one guy who was selling ammo that with his prices he should give you a free gun with every box of ammo sold. One dealer would not even let you handle a firearm until AFTER you completed a 4473. No buy no touch. WTF! Overall way too expensive for most items, but hey at least I got some fresh air and exercise.

Screw the Crossroads shows and the greedy SOB that takes advantage of both the vendors and customers. Spend $30 to look at the same old vendors with the same guns they've carried around for years, all the non gun-related tables, and how he continues to make it more difficult for private sellers to walk around with a gun or two for sale. Those used to be the best deals until the vendors got pissed and the individuals started getting herded into one area. When you consider gun show prices he should be paying you to come in.

Biggest disappointment.
I did score 2 pounds of some Winchester 748 powder for 30.

All in all a wash. Couldn't find any 30-30 dies.

I didn’t go because I had an elk hunt. It sounds like I didn’t miss much. Thanks for posting how it was.

I went, and my only bitch was the mask rules. If I am out and away more than 10' from others, than for Gosh Sakes, I ought to be able to breath as God intended. I know it's not the promoter, but the State...SUX.
As it was, you had to do far more walking than had it been indoors. OTOH, I had no scooter-folks threatening my toes, and not ONCE did I catch a whiff of someone's B.O.

At the Phoenix show, the mandate comes from the Maricopa County Board Of Supervisors. The same will be true at any other show in the County.

This was the first SAR show I've missed in over 10 years. I knew it would be a cluster and figured many less vendors. Maybe next year...
