You know,...myself included,...most people who donate to charity do so because it makes them feel good. Sure, there are altruistic and moral motivations as well. But doing something nice makes me FEEL nice. Or at least it SHOULD.

But now the SA wants you to feel bad and contort with guilt while also taking a hefty percentage of your donation for "administrative costs" that go into their own pocket. I think the Salvation Army just joined the Free Schit Army. I'm gonna have to make sure nothing I do for anyone else ever goes through their commie mitts.

The Salvation Army wants its white donors to give it more than just money this Christmas season. Its leadership is also demanding they apologize for being racist.

It's part of a push by the Christian charitable organization to embrace the ideas of Black Lives Matter, an activist group working to, among other things, "dismantle white privilege" and "disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure."

The Salvation Army's Alexandria-based leadership has created an "International Social Justice Commission" which has developed and released a "resource" to educate its white donors, volunteers and employees called Let's Talk about Racism. It asserts Christianity is institutionally racist, calling for white Christians to repent and offer "a sincere apology" to blacks for being "antagonistic.. to black people or the culture, values and interests of the black community."

"Many have come to believe that we live in a post-racial society, but racism is very real for our brothers and sisters who are refused jobs and housing, denied basic rights and brutalized and oppressed simply because of the color of their skin," one lesson explains. "There is an urgent need for Christians to evaluate racist attitudes and practices in light of our faith, and to live faithfully in today’s world."

In an accompanying Study Guide on Racism, Salvation Army authors explain that all whites are racist, even if they don't realize it.

Blah, blah, blah, I can't quote anymore or I'll puke my phuking guts out,....

I guess I will write them off too, there are plenty of other charities that can use my meager donations.

I've never given to or shopped at Salvation Army. My mom told me they were corrupt years ago, along with Red Cross. And after this little diddy, I'll make sure to tell everyone not to donate or shop there.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

Very disappointing. I recall not long ago they prided themselves in not paying the CEO and other officers high salaries like some other “charities” do and having most of the donations actually go to help people. I used to give them a lot of things and I never passed a red kettle without adding to it.
Those days are gone now. They won’t ever see a thing from me again. I had heard there was a political shift in the organization but I hadn’t heard any details and now I see this. I can bypass those red kettles without feeling guilt now.
It’s too bad so many otherwise successful organizations feel the need to make political statements and try to force their will upon their customers. This race nonsense will be the end of them.

I think racism is probably inherent in people. Black folks exhibit it, too.

The SA is now off my list of preferred charities. Tried to look up the Central Nova News and got nowhere, but another search confirmed the original post.

We are not big donors. Every year we give $1000 each to several charities. Salvation Army has long been on our list. They just got off it. This year, instead of money, I will send them a letter explaining why they are not getting any money.

Now, our piddly $1000 is not going to make a big difference to them, but I can hope there will be a lot of other piddly donors like me.

They can go pee up a rope.

I was completely disillusioned when I first started working for larger Not For Profits so I know first hand what bull$hit they are. Its to bad .. I had always wanted to do it thinking it would be about the greater good and doing something larger than yourself .. and then found out it is just another welfare system.

on a lighter note .. maybe if you kick into the kettle you get some of this!!

I dont think racism is inherent in human beings . I believe it is absolutely a learned response.

Gonna bore some of you with more drivel but ... If you put a blue baby in a crib with a red baby .. they will just play and fight over the blanket. They havent learned yet to distrust the other.

I have mentioned before ..my first 16 years were in housing projects. Pretty much everyone I knew was black. My ex threw out all my old pictures but in them you can see in kindergarten I was the only coffee colored kind in the class.

The rest were all black. I looked like a weird freckle. My early birthday party pix may have had one cousin and everyone else in birthday hats was black. All the giant black women were the community moms looking out for the kids. Until about 4th grade .. it never occurred to me that they were anything but people. We played football, had sleep overs, met in the playground and all the things that happen with other kids in a community. We were just kids. No baggage.

After the 4th grade people started to change and even though I was now part of a violent world .. I never blamed it on black people .. just Fuked up people.

My uncle .. a bad a$$ WWII vet and was convinced his dog hated black people. He made the Clint Eastwood Racist character look like a bleeding heart liberal. I wasn't going to try and explain to him that because HE hated black people and he would react every time one would pass the front of the house, and dog picked up on subtle or not so subtle nuance .. that he taught the dog to be distrustful of black people.

Humans learn it for the very same reasons and mostly under the same circumstances. Your young and your parents or other adults act a certain way around another person or people and even if its not shouting out derogatory names .. children pick up on it.

The problem is .. now the school and the work place are TEACHING people how to be racist, TEACHING them they are racist and even if your parents aren't and didn't instill in you a hatred or distrust of someone unlike you .. the school, the media and your diversity training at work tell you that you are indeed racist and take it a step further and are actively instituting segregation!!

Ruby Bridges must be crying at the news.

My opinion .. the only way to stop the madness is to have people rub up on each other. Kind of like me as a young kid in Brooklyn ... The differences are such a thin veneer.

BUT .. if you don't stop the generational welfare system that has kept many people as slaves to the state .. many will never have the chance to work at higher level jobs where everyone will learn they are just humans doing a job .. and allow for preconceived ideas to just fad away .. its the fading away part that isn't happening and .. with the new idea of TEACHING racism and creating segregated spaces. Its ten steps back.

Funny anecdote and I will shut up. My wife recently was forced into diversity training .. She is northern Italian with blue eyes and fair skin. So of course she was put in the evil white people group .. where she learned how different culturally hispanics were and because she didn't immediately buy in to a bunch of the presuppositions .. She was told .. "see ..you have work to do"

So according to the DIVERSITY instructor .. my wife is bigoted, doesnt know it, the class illustrated it and she needs to work on it ..

Never mind she has been married to a spic for over 20 years .. Ah the teaching of diversity or is it racism .. Im not to smart.

I was raised in Alaska and when somebody moved up there and had an attitude, he got his butt kicked fairly quickly until he got off his high horse and became a human being like everybody else.

Anyway, my brother wanted to go to Medical School and to do that, you had to have close to a 4.0 average at that time and also graduate from a "name" school.

So we moved out of Alaska and he did his last 2 years in a name college and I did 2 years in a High School that was around 2/3 black.

That's when I found out what racism was. The majority of kids I went to school with were full of hate and felt free to demonstrate it. Kind of changed my opinion of people when I had to fight my way through High School. Put a couple of people in the hospital and they'll leave you alone, though.

I dont hate any group of people for what they look like, what accent they may have or what foods they eat.

I hate A$$holes, I hate slackers, I hate near do wells, I hate the slinky slugs that are like roaches in the corners of humanity with their hands out begging, I hate criminal pieces of shit. I especially hate stupid people who choose to remain that way.

Funny thing is .. you name a place of origin, an ethnicity, skin color or hair texture and I can point out those people in every single one of those groups.

I can also find people in any of those groups who are a blessing to humanity and examples of what it means to be a good person.

While there are a $hit ton of reasons to hate living in NYC one of the best reasons is you get to meet pretty much a representation of everyone in the world. I have seen the best and the worst in all of their respective groups. Assholes and pieces of $hit are not the property of any one group.

Down the block on Main street and Ellsworth on all 4 corners are filthy beggars. The kind of skells that you know lurk in the corners and wont front you outright but turn for a second and they will steal everything you own. They make my skin crawl .. none of them are black. Everyone has their bad examples. I will choose to hate the bad examples regardless of gods wrappings.

I am fed up with the "white guilt" crap.

Take a look at this cringeworthy video.

There are too many idiots who drink the liberal kool-aid and fall for the white guilt or white privilege lies.

I made sure I let LaCrae know what I thought of him. We are not to be served but to serve. He knows this. I would never allow another man to shine my shoes as an act of submission.
