I agree it’s not a big deal; all new guns should come that way. Yet CZ, Canik etc keep pumping out guns that require plates.

Oh, I totally agree, they should be standardized as well with just one type of mount. My Sig Legion X5 doesn't have a cut out, neither does my CZ p10, and that pisses me off. The IWI Masada needs a plate from RMS to RMR, but it's my EDC for now.

The wide ranging variety of internal firearm slide design precludes many firearms from offering a similar multi mount solution, like the idea Ruger stole from the Springfield Echelon...and they stole the idea from someone else, so fair is fair. This is why Canik uses a plate system, as does HK, Walther, etc. The more simple the slide internal design, the more threaded holes you can place in the slide that don't interfere with extractor rods/springs, firing pins, etc.

Ruger is about 5 years late to the game, but it seems like a good pistol...time will tell.

Timney Alpha is a great drop in, usually around $150.

It looks like the Ruger should be compatible with all the normal Gen 3 Glock parts except the locking block, so I suspect most drop in Glock Gen 3 triggers should work. I haven't had one in my hands yet, but from all the videos available, that looks to be the case. But, from experience, many of the Gen 3 Clones don't play nicely with all aftermarket parts.

They did just that. Video reviews confirm 17 degree 1911 grip angle, and there is no backstrap hump.
They all say it's much better than a stock Glock trigger.

I know...I know...that's not a particularly high bar to clear. :dance:

OK, please inform me of these clones that don't play nice. I've done at least 2 dozen of these clones, and I only had an issue with 2 of them. One, the aftermarket barrel wasn't letting it go into full battery. The other, the "safety" on the trigger bar was hanging up the slide. Swapped barrel in one, worked fine, swapped trigger in the other, works fine.

I’m not going to list every single clone part I have encountered that didn’t work in a Glock, or vice versa. I’ve worked in the firearms industry for over 20 years, and I know exactly the type of person/customer you are. You can never be wrong, you know more than everyone else, and you seem to believe everyone you encounter owes you some kind of respect, for whatever reason you imagine.
