Assembled one with a Rise trigger today, but is was for a friend. Felt smooth. Clean break.

yeah, i broke down and ordered a couple, see how it goes, haven't every really put any thing other than a normal trigger group in an ar, but thought this might be a hoot.
thanks for the ideas and info

The wife and I use one in the ARs we built. We use them for coyote hunting mostly but the triggers are very nice. Hers has the curved shoe and mine has the flat. I got the flat just to try it and the jurry is still out on weather I like it. Triggers are smooth and break clean though, all in all I am very happy with them. I am like you and only ever used just the plain jane mil spec triggers. Definitely an upgrade.

Whenever I found them on sale I got one, till all my AR's have one I love them.

First one went in my 2 gun rifle a number of years ago, every bit as good as the Timney I had in it prior.

Dollars to donuts they won't fire steel cased Russian stuff. :o None of my "fancy dancy" triggers did, so I swapped 'em all out, put heavier trigger springs, and went to polishing. If SHTF, I want my stuff to be able to shoot whatever I can find. Even got a couple that will do a binary thing.

I put one in two different guns, neither would fire anything but brass.

You have those now, but I've never had a problem with Velocity triggers.
It's the brother that broke away from Timney, I visited his place, and he said trigger shouldn't cost what Timney is charging. I think I paid $120 a few years back. That dude backs his product. I messed one up with loctite and he said, we'll just pop another one in while u wait.
