Sad to hear of Mikes passing. He was one of the few of the more recent gunwriters that was worth reading. He came along in the eighties and his style and the types of weapons he wrote about appealed to me.

Apparently he had a rapid onset of a cardiac condition that came on suddenly. So much so, that he withered away more quickly than he could be put through the process of getting through the system to be considered for any sort of transplant. We're talking mere months as opposed to the years it usually takes.

As to his age, I don't know.

I believe he would have been mid seventies at 75 if I recall correctly.
