The new cliché is "Stay safe!" Whenever I leave a place, people say "Stay safe!" Good-hearted, big smile and wave. What is the appropriate response? "You too"? "This is all a bunch of BS?"?

Unless somebody can come up with something better, from now on I intend to reply "Stay free!" Good-hearted, big smile and wave. Give them something to think about. Maybe even start a trend. Maybe it will even go -- pardon the expression -- "viral."

Sounds good to me. I'm so sick of people saying "stay safe". It implies there's some danger lurking out there for us when it isn't a danger for most people.

The real danger we're facing right now is tyranny. I'm so proud of the people standing up for our freedom at these protests around the country. Some protesters are putting there lives on the line and even paying the ultimate price (after getting sick... most likely at one of these mass gatherings) to push back against the government overreach. It's sad, but our freedom is worth dying for.

Well I was going to do a few lines of coke and kick back a few brews before loading up some HIV infected toothless crack hoes on the handlebars of my two wheeled conveyance for some unprotected sex but ... well now that you said stay safe .....

LOL

It's the modern version of 'have a nice day'... libbies have to have a warm and fuzzy way of saying 'see ya later' or something.

I first heard 'Stay Safe' several years ago before going outside the wire... I think it may have started in the cop shops before then and has recently been picked up by the regulars cuz they think it sounds caring?... maybe they heard it on TV?

I like that 'stay Free' response and will start using it...
