I was wondering the same thing. To me, it seems like a red dot would be a bit overkill unless you were using slugs at longer distances? I guess a reflex site might be better, but I am wondering what the goal is for having it.QuietM4 said:For what purpose? Home defense, slugs, clays?
I've had red dots on shotguns in the past (Benelli M4), but it's a little overkill. You don't aim a shotgun at a target, you point it at the target...let the shot do the rest. The largest benefit to me was being able to raise my cheek weld higher to be more comfortable shooting it, similar to an AR-15.
