My son in law put one on his pistol. I have a REAL hard time finding the dot. When I do find the dot it's dead nuts on target after I sighted it in for him. Lot's of practice to get quick on target from draw I assume. Much different. Red dot on my AR is quick as open sight's. Zero adjustment or practice needed to get dot on target fast. Weird
I had the finding issue at first too, but when you stick it in front of your face and press out, it will get easier. The skilled practitioners say the rifle dot is so easy because you're cheek is welded, and you're not able to wiggle that reference point around like a pistol.

I wouldn't want to meet with toxic, mentally insufficient, clique of angry old never has been's that are extremely hostile and add nothing to the 2A community anyways. Dollar store meat, cooked on the cheapest means of grilling on bare dirt lawns with flies everywhere, served with the cheapest wally worlds drinks in unkept houses. Hard pass. Easiest of nopes. Boring conversations where posers try to best each other or choose a person to use as their verbal punching bag that they had projected all of their complaints into.

Suffice to say, a red dot, may or may not be for everyone, but if one does not make the huge effort to overcome an age old iron site addiction, well then, me thinks age for some is the indicator of uses, it took me decades to go to a scope on a rifle, but once i did, well now, ....................along with red dots, so many different schools to learn from, on acquisition and usage, mileage by all will differ,

i have as noted quite a few on carbines, and long guns in general, and a few on pistolas, my canik is a awesome shooter with a red dot, IF i do my part and get it "right"
i wouldn't let any "one" dissenter shy me away from at least making the attempt or go out with someone who has one tuned in and give it a go, change is and can be good, embracing change, makes it so much easier rather than having the "doubting thomas'' syndrome :P
good luck with choices

Oh I see, you can say "huge effort to overcome," but I say "massive learning curve" and
"some foreigner wants to pop a new keester in my forehead." (Heartbreak Ridge) HAHAHAHA
