I have an HK 45 tactical that is a couple years old and recently put a 45 Octane suppressor on it. The diameter of the suppressor blocks the sights (which I was expecting). I see on HK's website the newer 45 tacticals come with raised sights, but mine does not. I have been looking at either raised Heinie or Trijicon raised sights or replacing the rear sight with a red dot mount such as Trijicon's RMR or SRO. Does anyone have any experience with these items or recommendations? I have also been considering a Vortex Red dot.
Thanks

I have had an RMR on my EDC guns for 9 years they are top of the line for pistol red dots. If this is only a range gun put on what ever you like, you are not betting your life on that dot. If it will be an EDC then a dot and co-witness irons are the best setup.

Thank you both for your input. It is mostly a range gun, and I use it for three gun (without the suppressor) once in a while. Like you said, I was leaning towards a red dot
Thanks again
