Phoenix,
I';ve seen some prices dropping on some items over what they were weeks or even a month ago, sign of times, or.................just happenstance of a short load somewhere someone is unloading for the quick pocket cash.

but some vendors have dropped or offered some what some would consider decent values for 1k of the burnin stuf.

I've been noticing that too. It used to be that if anything popped up for sale at even double its old price, it would be gone in minutes. Yesterday, Atlantic Firearms had 1000 round cases of 7.62x39 for $379, and it was in stock most of the day. That's a move in the right direction for sure.

Noticed the same, with any luck we are moving in the right direction, hopefully soon it will make sense to pick up some to replenished what I have used lately.

ARs are coming down too, based on the emails I get from several vendors.

I've noticed it as well. I was at Sportsman's Warehouse two weeks ago and they had 9 mm(first time I've seen it on a shelf in 6 months) for $24 a box. A week later it was at 20/box for the same stuff. It will drop more with no BS from the alphabet gang or school shootings. I just want to go out and practice without making it a $100+ session every time.

Yep. Inflation on necessities combined with states dropping the federal unemployment assistance along with no recent stimulus has people saving or spending their money on necessities rather than 'nice to have' discretionary purchases. My $0.02 anyway...

What's considered an acceptable price per-round now a days for say 9mm? I put myself in the firearms newb group, my ammo buying is only during the past 1 year so I don't know what is considered an acceptable price in these current times.

I've been seeing it get down to $0.50/round lately. If I needed 9mm bad enough, I'd buy it at those prices. Otherwise, I'd wait until I could get it under $0.25 to stock up.

On another note, the price of Palmetto AKs is back down to $800ish. For a little while they were over 1k if they were in stock

Good to hear, I'm glad I stocked up in 08 and again in 11. After hearing the prices of stuff I did a little inventory and hot damn! Like 1500 223 cases sized primed and ready, along with 8 boxes of SR marked at .04 each.

Granted, getting new hobbies and shooting less has also helped conserve my reserves.
