I prepare the same way I always have, buy food, guns, and ammo whenever it's on sale. There is a certain stability in knowing that you can just lock the doors and stay home for months if needed. The reality is that we are not facing foreign invasion, we're facing a coup disguised as a civil war that will be demonized as a revolution. We are unfortunately barreling towards this eventuality at high speed and it's gonna happen quicker than any of us anticipated. Think of it as the 21st century version of the blitzkrieg, they'll use HUMINT and technology to outpace their opponents (us) and keep word/news from spreading to stop reinforcements or public support. We are so reliant on technology for communication that we've forgotten how to talk to people directly or use low-tech comms. Most people don't have more than a few days food, a few boxes of ammo, or a few skills. All they have to do is shut off the banking system, throttle the internet, and track their opponents via mobile devices and we wake up one day hungry, confused, and wondering where thousands of people disappeared to overnight. Gonna be a helluva ride, make sure your seatbelts are fastened and your helmets are cinched up
