It was supposed to be a surprise, but you guys ruined it. Spoilsports.
OK, here is the instructor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQjIxN2yXno
I am not taking a class from that robot...
He’s not even using the pad of his...finger?

I’m not saying this doesn’t work ranger, but when you say you take non shooters and make them good shooters in a few hours, that goes against all the training I’ve received, and credible videos I’ve watched.
What happened to, only lots of practice will make you better?

It's easy to poo poo anything and most of you have never had training like this. So until you take the training I would like for the name calling to stop. You see it just shows a political agenda. Yes I said I can turn non shooters into shooters in a couple of hours, not operators. I have offered in the past for people to come out and watch,. I have bent over backwards to get people to come out and take the class. I have given my number out for people to call me and non of it happens. It just shows me how much you guys are into adding
another tool to your tool box. Now instead of beating me up over the class AZ Husker has taken the class up in Flagstaff. Ask him about it. He is one of yours.

Ooops!

I agree with Ranger1,... much can be accomplished with a natural shooter, in just a few hours.

Personally, I found a "how to point shoot " video on line that taught me what I needed to know within a dozen rounds fired,... so, I believe what he says can be done.

It's not to hard to learn when you have a instructor that was taught how to point shoot and can fix your problems on site while you are shooting. When your instructor has used the point shooting as a way of life in the past that's better than a video. If for some reason you are not doing it properly a person by your side that can adjust what you are doing so you can hit the target is worth his weight in gold.

I didn’t poo poo this and called no names, that’s not my style. I just said it’s different than what I done in the past.
This sounds like a fun class and will do it when I have the funds and 30 pounds of ammo.

Ranger1, I corrected my earlier post, I put Pro2a in by mistake. that post was to support your statement about a few hours of training, to make some progress.

BUT,... I have to object to your objection to a self learner only needing a video to accomplish a level of point shooting he can be happy with,... I did, and I am quite happy with simply being on target without using sights.

That is what I wanted, that is what I got!

Look you opinion is fine because you are happy with what you are doing. Whether you are doing it properly or not it doesn't matter as long as you are happy with it. When it comes down to learning a technique it's better to learn it from someone that has been there, done that, and can watch you and fix any improper position of the gun or you on the spot. It's my opinion you should learn from someone in person than a video. It takes around 50 to 60 rounds to learn a technique (10 min) The rest of the hour is muscle memory before moving to the next technique. 7 techniques are taught in one day. You will go through around 1k in ammo. After that it's on you to keep up with the practice. O Rio Salado shooting range will not let you draw from the holster. They threw me off the range for not looking at my sights.

What video did you watch?
Who was the instructor?
What point shooting skill did you learn?

It was many, many years ago, and I am not here to be questioned or defend myself, in this thread.

You want to claim the notoriety of a instructor as pertinent,... fine.
You want to proclaim the merits of different point shooting styles,... fine.

But, if you don't mind, I'll pass on all the drama.

Really ?
You are asking what instructor ?
You won't even tell us who the instructor is for the class you are wanting people to sign up for.
A little bit of hypocrisy there ?

That's ok. Don't worry about it. I'm not going to offer classes here anymore.to much drama.

Well, I don't know how you got this far!

This is the "Firearm Related General Discussion" forum,... not the classifieds!

Good decision, on your part, imo!

I put it up for discussion, I'm not selling gun parts. IMO. Good decision on your part to keep it going. I thought you wood have just let it go.

This is a gun fourm I will continue to put up whatever I want where I think it should go. If I put it in the wrong spot then a moderator can step in and correct me. Until then let the games begin delta 6 :angry-jumpinganger: :angry-jumpinganger:
