Am I the only one that either has too much stuff or just forgets about things? I was organizing some stuff just a little bit ago and opened a cabinet and I found a nice stash of primers and brand new brass that I had completely forgot about. It was kinda like Christmas morning

Imagine if he said, "I was looking under the seat cushions and I found some extra gold coins I'd forgotten about."

I wasn't going to mention it, but since you started it.....

I decided to clean out the walk in closet in our master bedroom. Moved all kinds of stuff around, moved a wall of shoe boxes and found 5,000 rounds of 9MM and 480 rounds of .223. Picked up a box to open it and found it was unopened and had another 1,000 rounds of 9MM.

Flush with success, I decided to clean out 15 years worth of stuff in the garage and found 1 unopened bottle of Haig & Haig Pinch and 1 unopened bottle of Jack Daniels.

Can't wait to clean up some more.

Did you buy 9mm at the gunshow we went to? I still have the 5K of CCI 400 I bought that day (for $95.00!).

No, this stuff was purchased around 15 years ago or so. IIRC, it was $100.00/1K rounds in a 30 caliber ammo can.

It was in the days just before I started reloading 9MM and even though I had bullets, cases, primers and dies, it was impossible to load them for less than they were selling for. Shortly thereafter they started getting hard to get and I started reloading and just completely forgot about the ammo.

I think I also bought a sleeve of primers, same as you though, for $95.00 or so.

I found an AR in the back of the safe one time that I forgot I had. There was a similar thread about this a while back. I've found Walmart bags full of ammo that I'd throw behind stuff in the garage before walking into the house so the wife doesn't see it. It's her fault for sending me on errands. First thing I would do was stop at the sporting goods section, grab ammo, then look at the list of things I was supposed to be buying.

lol, i'm always finding something i stash, thinking i'll remember it, but alas, no i don't just the other day in the garage that i'm packing up to move to new shop, i found a SS fal barrel, in a tool box, guess i put it there some time ago, dug a little more and found a fal reciever an enterprise, hehehe, don't remember even hiding it there, oh well. guess it'll be real enlightening when i begin the purge in the toy room,
happy friday smuckettes

I seem to remember you finding a few AK parts kits under the bed a few years back

Damn, after hearing what you guys found I think if it is a rain day I will keep looking because I know there is more stuff hidden in there.

yes i did, as one ages the grey stuff at least for me, tends to lack the ability to remember things, but when i was in the buying frenzi many moons ago, i bought so much and just shelved it, for the rainy day, and of course again as i get older, i'm somewhat easily entertained by the things i really like, gats and gals. so i'm easy.
happy saturday

Ya I buy way more than I need and like to hoard stuff. It is my way to punish the kids upon my ultimate demise. You get some good stuff, but you have to sort through all the other crap to get it. If I stop at yard sales I always end up leaving with something that is too cheap to not bring home. Lots of good old tools and such laying around at them
