If anybody in the Phoenix area is interested, I stumbled across a Gary Reeder 410 GNR Stealth Hawk while looking for a Single Six at a local pawn shop. They're asking for $1200 although I bet there's a little wiggle room in that number. It appears to be a Version 1 conversion and is in pretty good shape other than a few surface scuffs on the bead blasted finish. It will have to be a local purchase. The shop can't ship due to policy changes when they got bought out by a bigger company. If you're interested, message me and I can pass on the shop's address and the manager's contact info. He also happens to be Ruger single action fan.

I know the gun and the shop. If it were in a normal caliber, it wouldn't be sitting there, LOL.
 
I considered buying it myself. I like Gary Reeder's work but it seems a waste for me since the only thing I hunt is paper. Plus my "Real He-Man" card expired a while ago. Arthritis is really starting to affect my hands. It now takes both hands to hold a can of beer.

Probably as hard to find as .400 Corbon. I've got two boxes, and it's expensive, over $1 per round. I have the barrel for my Glock 21 and I've shot 3 rds of it. As cool as it is (a necked down .45 to .40), I'm glad I don't have the "whole gun".

I bought my first firearm from Gary at his shop in Flagstaff. He makes some absolutely menacing wildcat pistol cartridges and he has hunted all over the world - including African dangerous game stuff - with his pistols. Pretty sure he had a full cape buffalo in his shop - that he shot with a pistol (I believe it was a revolver - not something like a Thompson Contender in a magnum rifle cartridge).

The 410 is an evolution of the .41GNR which I think was his first wildcat. The .41GNR is a .44mag cartridge necked down to .41. Looking at his site - it looks like the 410 GNR is spec'd to push a 255gr bullet at 1800 FPS out of a revolver... :twisted:

If I were in to such things - I'd be all over one of his guns at that price. I may need to go look at it regardless. It makes me sad to hear that it's in a pawn shop. Someone's grandkid is pawning / selling off some good stuff.
