Does anyone have experience with their AK 9mm Pistols? How do they compare to the CZ Scorpion?
Thanks
Thom

They actually have quite a bit more recoil that I was expecting. I shot a friend a few days ago. I used to own a CZ Scorpion, and it has less recoil compared to the AKV. Both shot well, but I think the CZ is a more refined weapon. However, both feel like crap compared to an HK MP5 (or clone). Roller delayed blowback makes for a much nicer shooting gun, compared to the very large chunk of metal in the bolts of the straight blowback AKV and Scorpion.

I have one. I actually like it more than a buddies banshee and the scorpion. The stock trigger isn’t bad at all. It just straight up runs. I have about 500 rods through it so far. So not much but I’ll be keeping it

My son in law has tried them and was unimpressed. The one he settled on and will wind up keeping for life is the Grand Power Stribog A3G. It has a transfer roller delay in the A3 that wasn't in previous versions in case you shop for used. If they made it in 45 i would get one myself, but the A3 is an impressive weapon. But to your original point, neither of us were impressed with the AR-V or AK-V.

The Kalashnikov KP9 looks to be real nice. I have two other of their firearms (KS12T & KR103) and they are pretty great. I will probably pick up a KP9 sooner than later to just have the trifecta of their products.

I have an AK-V. It is heavier than expected and does have a kick, but I'm a gun whore so I have a Scorpion and an AR-V also. I got tired of sorting through piles of stick mags to find one mag to go shooting with.

Now I have a gaggle of Scorp mags that fit 3 firearms. I would put the AK-V at the bottom of the three for shooting fun, but that's not to say it's not fun. Suppressed it runs fine with subsonic, I haven't tried it with subsonic and no can which creating more back-pressure, but it has run all factory range ammo without a problem. It vents less gas back at you than the AR-V when suppressed.
