I'm going to clear up a misconception for you guys.

They state they want a Birth Certificate. If you get a passport or passport card, they say the same thing, but they won't accept a Birth Certificate when you show up.

They want what they call a "state certified birth certificate" which is actually a COLB or certificate of live birth. They won't accept a birth certificate. I know because I tried to use one and argued the point. I lost of course and had to produce a certified COLB.

:text-goodpost:
passport or passport card=COLB or certificate of live birth
Birth certificate is not proof of ID.

I am not sure if it is the same as an AZ ID card but to get an AZ travel ID you need three things.

Birth Certificate
Social Security Administration (SSA) Card
Documents from TWO DIFFERENT ENTITIES (business, organization, tribal or government agency) containing both the applicant’s name and current residential address.

The ID card alone won't work for travel or that is what the ID card said on it when I found one in a parking lot on the last election day.
